A resident of Coquitlam and the Tri-Cities since 1979, in 2014, I was blessed to receive your support and was elected to City Council. I bring a wealth of experience in finance, business, health care, minor sports, board governance and like most candidates I have been an active volunteer in the community.
In my first term on Council, I worked with colleagues to help lead the city forward on a number of exciting initiatives, I ask for your support to be re-elected and continue the good work that we've started.
My wife Lisa and I raise our two kids here and want to ensure that they have the opportunity to grow up in safe neighbourhoods, with numerous options for sports and arts activities.
I have, for the past 25 years, helped families buy and finance their homes, budget for raising their families, save for retirement, as well as finance their businesses in my role as Branch Manager at Westminster Savings and previously Coast Capital Savings, two of the Province’s larges Credit Unions. Most recently, I have taken on a partnership role with Green Waste recycling company and sit on the board for a publicly traded company that is building a solar and agricultural farm in Aruba. The next twenty years will see Coquitlam continue to evolve and grow, and it is this growth that will provide significant challenges for all of our families. Burke Mountain, Burquitlam, and the Town Centre are areas that have seen dramatic and visible change in recent years but every neighbourhood is seeing change whether it be in the development of higher density condos, larger homes in the older established neighbourhoods or transit and recreation needs. We need to work together to ensure that we build and maintain good neighbourhoods, connected neighbourhoods and safe neighbourhoods. Again, please share with me your thoughts by visiting my contact page. |

Our CityGrowing up in Coquitlam, I was like the majority of residents. I knew that politics and politicians existed, but I didn't pay a lot of attention until voting day. The issue of complacency and disengagement has increased to a frightening level that saw only 1 out of 5 people vote in the 2011 civic election. In the past several years, I have certainly learned that not only can we exercise our votes, but that we can get engaged and make a difference.
That's my objective in running - TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the lives of Coquitlam residents. We all want low taxes, safe streets and excellent recreation and transit services, but how do we get them? In speaking with residents, I think we can achieve this. Please visit my platform to learn more about some ideas that have been suggested but MORE IMPORTANTLY, please share with me the concerns in YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD or the city overall so we can work together. |
